‘A day in the life of a smallholder’ - learn about the abundance of produce that can be harvested from the land; with bee keeping and basket making demonstrations, goats cheese and gourmet sausage tasting.

Includes a tour of Gleanings with John Hart. Expert bee keeper Tom Hall will talk about the art of bee keeping and making honey. Ed Hawan, local basket weaver, will demonstrate how coppiced woodland can be harvested and used to make beautiful baskets.

Then, having worked up an appetite for lunch visitors will enjoy a selection of fresh local produce. Allison and Rob Littlehales, of Onnyview Free Range Produce, will serve their scrumptious rare breed sausages. Other local delicacies are Brock Hall Farm goat’s cheese and Gleanings own soup and salads. People will also get a pot of Tom’s Shropshire Honey to take home.

Only £25 or £20 for Friends of the Shropshire Hills. Includes delicious fresh local lunch, refreshments and a gift to take home.
