Background:

Staffordshire Wood Fuel is a new Traded Service set up by Staffordshire County Council to help reduce costs, increase energy efficiency and deliver reductions in carbon emissions.

We aim to make the most of the local timber products resulting from our vital wildlife conservation and sustainable woodland management operations on Cannock Chase, council landholdings, and other local woodlands. The wood chip produced will provide a stable, reliable high quality product to an emerging market in biomass boilers – helping the council deliver on its mission to help Staffordshire business to go green and cut the growing costs of carbon fuels.

Our Services:

Secure Wood Fuel Supply – we offer quality wood chip from a local supply chain and sustainable sources

Wood Chipping – produce fuel from your own timber by hiring our crane fed HeizoHack Chipper

Fuel Supply Advice – we can help design your fuel supply system to optimise – storage, logistics, access, delivery and fuel handling
