Dairy Stockjudging Results

The annual Dairy Stockjudging competition was held on Thursday 14th April, by kind permission Norman and Jennifer Tomkinson & Family, Befcote Farm, Gnosall, Stafford, ST20 0EB.

Competitors were required to judge Holstein Friesians on the night by placing them in order of merit and then reason giving.

The results were – Junior – 1st Caroline Stone of Waterhouses YFC, 2nd Sammie Wilson from Eccleshall YFC; 3rd Will Hamplett from Eccleshall YFC. Intermediate – 1st Emma Elkin from Stone YFC; 2nd Isobel Wright from Eccleshall YFC and joint 3rd was Lucy Hill from Ridware YFC and Will Gallimore representing Ridware YFC. Senior – 1st Matthew Wright form Eccleshall YFC, 2nd Reuben Moss, Leek YFC and 3rd Tom Hill from Ridware YFC. The Overall winning teams, when all their marks were added together, were – 1st Eccleshall YFC; 2nd Stone YFC and 3rd Waterhouses YFC. A composite team will now represent Staffordshire in the National Finals at the Dairy Event at the NEC, Birmingham in September.
