• What is branding and why do we do it
• Thinking about successful branding and coming up with ‘Criteria
for Success’
• Case studies of similar rural businesses in other areas
• Matching your brand to your target customer
• What are your Unique Selling Points?
• ‘Telling the story’...an action plan for each business
• 15 ideas in 15 minutes- ideas to strengthen YOUR brand- action
plan for each business to take away
Workshop Training Sessions (2 part sessions)

The 2-part session will cover:
• What works well, what will really engage our audience?
• Barriers to success and overcoming them
• Bringing it to life, using props and pictures
• Building the confidence and skills of others
• 10 minute mini lessons and feedback (in part 2)
Using, developing and marketing local produce

• Discovering and tasting what is available and where within the

• Looking at and sharing examples of best practice with other
entrepreneurs
• Looking at ways of creating and promoting an innovative and
vibrant business using local produce
• Realising the value of local food and drink as a successful
marketing tool
