National Occupational Standards (NOS for short) accurately describe what you need to do, know and understand in your job.

As industry changes, we need to review our NOS to take into account new ways of working. So throughout 2010, we have been reviewing the equine
 

The equine NOS includes Introductory Horse Care, Horse Care, Racehorse Care, Horse Care and Management, Racehorse Care and Management, and Equine Management. It was last reviewed in 2005 and so it is important that we see if changes need to be made so it is valued by everyone.

The review so far
The review started with several meetings with you where we talked about the current NOS, looked at whether it meets your current industry needs and discussed what changes are needed.

Following these meeting, we took on board all the comments and suggestions that were made and created a draft version of the NOS.
