Farming and Food Enterprise Development Project (FFED)
This is a project for West Midlands farmers and growers who are producing, retailing or serving home grown and farm produced foods direct to the customer.
November 2009- October 2010
The project will offer:
• Walk the supply chain events to see good ideas in practice
• Farm Food Network to put you in touch with other opportunities
• Overseas study visits to France and Italy to inspire innovation and creative thinking
• CEVAS training for those who wish to host farm visits which celebrate British food and farming
• Meat Retailing for Farmers -training days including lamb cutting, sausage making, bacon curing, pie making, marketing and legal aspects
• Women’s Farming Union Training Days on Visual Merchandising and PR.
