Germany farm study tour Profitable Farm Diversification
Tuesday 19th July to Thursday 21st July 2011

This summer tour offers farmers from the West Midlands a chance to see Farm Diversification in action in Germany at subsidised cost.
A farm study tour will travel to Southern Germany in July to look at successful farm diversification, to include agriculture, livestock and horticultural enterprises but also on-farm breeding research, catering, restaurants, energy production, farm hotels and B&Bs.

Farmers living and working in the West Midlands area (and farming conventionally or organically) are welcome to take part and their places will be subsidised by a grant from Lantra (LandSkills West Midlands). A fluent English/German speaker agriculture specialist will lead the tour.

The trip will take place between 19th and 21st July 2011 and bookings are being taken now.

There are limited places available and pre booking is essential. Please contact Sarah Jameson on 01547 528 546 and iota@organicadvice.org.uk before Friday 24th June for a booking form and programme. Final date for bookings is 27th June.

These workshops are run by IOTA and funded by LandSkills West Midlands, managed by Lantra on behalf of Advantage West Midlands, as part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). RDPE is funded by Defra and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
