Managing Green Manures - Workshop 1

Herefordshire Rural Hub - Wednesday 16 Jun 2010 at 10.00

How to Manage Green Manures to Benefit your Soil.

The first of two workshops aimed at Farmers and Growers wishing to improve the efficiency and sustainability of nutrient use on their farms.

With increasing fertilizer costs and tougher legislation over nitrate pollution, green manures are set to play an important role in the future of soil fertility on both organic and conventional farms.

Garden Organic (formerly HDRA) has conducted over 15 years of research on green manures and cover crops.  At this workshop we have speakers from Garden Organic, IBERS (Aberystwyth) and Natural England.
