Join the Campaign
The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), has stepped up its campaign to inspire people who would not normally eat game to give it a try.
BASC launched its Taste of Game campaign in 2005 with the first-class website portal and the distribution of in excess of 500,000 high quality recipe leaflets through a network of game fairs, game tasting events and through game dealers and their customers. This year the campaign launched on 12th August and will run throughout the shooting season. Events will be held across the UK as part of the campaign to encourage people to try game and to highlight the benefits of game meat as local, wild and nutritious food.
The campaign is supported by some of the UK’s top chefs who supply the Taste of Game with simple recipes for every type of game there is. On the taste of game website – www.basctasteofgame.org.uk/ you can find everything from where to buy game, how to prepare game and most importantly how to cook game.
As part of the campaign we would like to invite you to provide details of your events and menus for promotion on the Taste of Game website at no cost to you. The details can be viewed by our 20,000 membership in the Midland region (covers 11 counties). The events will be publicised throughout the game season and the business details will remain on the website unless advised otherwise.
