Walford and North Shropshire College is delivering a One Day Lameness and Hoof trimming Course at the Walford Campus on Thursday 16th February  2012 9.30am – 5.30pm. The course will be delivered by Jo Speed who is the lameness specialist at Dairy co. In 2008 Jo was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to study lameness, and prior this had been a herd manager so understands all the practical and financial difficulties that lameness can cause. The course will include:

• Early Identification
• Foot care strategy
• Mobility Scoring
• Hoof Trimming Demonstration
• Knife Sharpening
• Open Forum.

The cost is £24.92 per person which includes refreshments and a light lunch.

Places are limited so bookings will be on a first come first served basis.
