Wake Up To The Heart of the Country – Farm Stay UK
Learn how Social Media & the Internet can help your Business
Monday 15 November 2010, at University of Worcester
From 11am – 3pm
Specifically created to help you learn about how the internet and social media can help your businesses, this event is designed to be an informal and educational session, to help you learn how the internet can be a powerful tool and assist with generating new business.
Owners and managers of B&B’s and self catering units often already have a presence on the internet, or even their own website. This session will help you understand what new applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps, Flickr etc. can do and what you can achieve with relatively little training, often at no cost. We cover how to manage photographs more effectively and through a hands on approach, can upload any photos you may have during the session. Getting your business posted on Google Maps also increases the chances of improved bookings and we will walk you through the simple process to achieve this, amongst many other helpful tips.
This FREE workshop (including Lunch) is run by Rob Mannion of Ruralnet Futures, who has conducted a number of these sessions throughout the West Midlands.
We will cover the following areas:
- Google search – understanding the results
- Google Analytics – what they mean
- Google Maps – getting your accommodation business listed
- Managing your photos more effectively
- Ensuring your accommodation business is represented accurately on the Internet
