Machinery for intensive horticulture

Aimed at small-scale intensive vegetable producers, particularly direct-marketing and local production. This workshop will be lead by Iain Tolhurst, award-winning organic farmer and experienced trainer. Looking at machinery for increasing efficiency of production, particularly reducing weeding costs without chemicals and appropriate cultivation techniques. Want to innovate and adapt kit to meet needs? Training will be held at Garden Organic’s headquarters, Ryton Gardens, near Coventry.

Available to producers with a holding number in the West Midlands (including West Midlands, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire) for just £24 (£28.80 inc.VAT) each course thanks to 80% funding from LandSkills West Midlands. Producers outside of the region can also attend the course for £40 (£48 inc.VAT).
