This one day conference will take place in the brand new Wyre Forest Discovery Centre, and will be chaired by Sir Ben Gill. It will focus on the following aspects:
- RHI; What will this be and what are the gross margins and implications (Countrywide Farmers Plc)
- Timber Markets; What are the markets for timber and what are the trends (Pryor & Rickett Silviculture)
- Managing West Midlands Woodlands; Looking at oppor-tunities for landowners to manage woodland profitably and how grants can be utilised (Andrew Bronwin & Com-pany)
- West Midlands Wood Fuel Project; What Heartwoods can do for woodland owners and woodfuel suppliers in the West Midlands (Heartwoods)
- Climate Change Implications; Implications of climate change for woodland/forestry sector (Forestry Commis-sion)
In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to choose a session relevant to you. Options include;
- A demonstration featuring practical woodland man-agement
- A Woodheat seminar or meeting the speakers/trade stands
- The launch of the Woodfuel Woodland Improvement Grant by the Forestry Commission.
