The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) is part of the Government's Solutions for Business Project, jointly funded by BIS (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) and the nine English Regional Development Agencies.
MAS in the West Midlands (MAS-WM) is dedicated to making a difference to manufacturing in the region and has done so since 2002. With advanced manufacturing, low carbon initiatives and innovation all high on the agenda, they assist manufacturers with best practice improvements as they strive to become fit for the future. MAS-WM delivers five levels of service:
Free, immediate and impartial manufacturing advice predominately by telephone but also by email
Free in-company manufacturing reviews carried out by specialist advisors to highlight performance enhancing opportunities
A series of free to attend interactive best practice workshops covering manufacturing, purchasing and international marketing plus organised company visits
Subsidised in-depth project support to resolve complex manufacturing issues
Access to technical expertise and sources of additional support.
