Moorlands Connect
In September 2010 a new bus service called 'Moorlands Connect' will be launched thanks to 'Moorlands Together', a group of local organisations working together to improve public services.
But 'Moorlands Connect' won't be just another bus service. Right from the start it will provide a friendly and convenient 'gold service' for all residents.
Same day telephone booking will make it easier for you to get around. In fact your requests will determine our route, getting you right to where you want to go, and connecting with existing bus services.
From youngsters wanting to get into town to older residents staying in touch with friends, it will be flexible enough to cover everyone's needs making life easier.
And, thanks to advanced tracking systems, we will know exactly where our buses are and will let you know with confidence when your ride will arrive.
While some services will be replaced by 'Moorlands Connect', the following will continue unchanged:
• 118 Hanley, Leek and Buxton
• 442 Buxton to Ashbourne
• 108 Leek to Ashbourne
Moorlands Connect will link to these routes opening up options for travel further afield.
