7Y is delighted to announce that they have secured funding from LANTRA Landskills West Midlands for a range of funded training courses on Renewable Energy and Resource Efficiency. These courses offer the ability to find out more about this interesting sector and gain practical knowledge to use on your farm.

Course on offer include:

- Resource Efficiency - 80% funded - £35 per candidate including materials and lunch

This course aims to help farms and land based businesses identify the resources used on their farm such as electricity, heat, fuel, water and nutrients and how changes can be identified to provide savings in this area.

- Farm Energy Strategies - 80% funded - £35 per candidate including materials and lunch

This course will introduce candidates to a wide variety of renewable technologies and help them identify which may be suitable for their own farms through the use of case studies. Basic financial investment appraisal methods will be used allowing candidates to calculate the payback and capital requirements of each generation technology.

- Fuel Efficiency Awareness Training - 80% funded - £36 per candidate including materials and lunch

This LANTRA accredited course has been designed for those involved in agriculture who want to achieve maximum performance and efficiency from their machines. This course is suitable for tractor drivers and machinery operators at all levels of experience and you will gain skills and techniques which can be implemented immediately to reduce fuel use.
