Carcase Judging Competition
This year’s Carcase Judging competition was held on Thursday, 14th October by kind permission of T G Sargeants of Bramshall. Competitors from 6 clubs across the County were judging either Sheep, Pig and Beef Carcases with the final results being Uttoxeter JNFU 1st, Leek YFC 2nd and Eccleshall YFC 3rd. A composite team will now take part in the NFYFC Live and Carcase Competition at The English Winter Fair on Saturday, 20th/Sunday 21st November.

Social Events
The annual Twilight Ball will be held on Saturday, 30th October at The Ballroom, Keele Hall on the Keele University Campus. Tickets are £16 in advance and £20 on the door. The County AGM and Disco will be held on Friday 5th November at the Ingestre Suite, Stafford Showground where the results of the members’ hard work throughout the year will be rewarded and members will then celebrate the evening with Sounds Solution Disco.

Staffordshire Young Farmers had 690 members at the end of August this year and hopes to maintain this again for the forthcoming membership year which started in 1st September. We can now currently send two teams through to West Midlands Area and National Competitions for the forthcoming year, where eligible, and hope to have has much success in 2011 as we have in 2010. Young people between the ages of 10 – 26, who want to enjoy fun and excitement, competitions, discos, sports, travel, meeting new friends and learning new and different skills, are invited to contact the County office for details of their nearest Club.
