Novel vegetable crops

This workshop will explore the potential of growing exotic vegetables for new markets. Technical production issues will be covered, plus how to access the market. Garden Organic will use the experience gained in the Sowing New Seeds project (MLF000592), which focuses on the growing of non-traditional crops by the culturally diverse communities of the Midlands. Training will be held at Garden Organic’s headquarters, Ryton Gardens, near Coventry.

Available to producers with a holding number in the West Midlands (including West Midlands, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire) for just £24 (£28.80 inc.VAT) each course thanks to 80% funding from LandSkills West Midlands. Producers outside of the region can also attend the course for £40 (£48 inc.VAT).
