Opportunities in microgeneration for installation contractors

Staffordshire Rural Hub - Tuesday 25 Jan 2011 at 9.30

Since April 2010 the Feed in Tariff (FiT) has driven the rapid growth of the market for installation of small scale renewable products. With over 11,370 renewable installations installed in the last six months, growth in this sector is expected to accelerate further with the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive in June 2011.
Many local authorities throughout theWest Midlands are deciding how best to benefit from the FiT, and some (e.g. Birmingham with the Birmingham Energy Savers project) are conducting large scale installations on social housing, creating additional demand for experienced accredited installers in the region.
