Practical-based seminar exploring the theory and practice of plant-raising, modules and bare roots. It will cover appropriate growing media, pest and disease control and plant nutrition. Iain Tolhurst, will lead this workshop. Dr Steve Roberts from Plant Health Solutions will speak on seed health and alternative methods of managing diseases during propagation. Training will be held at Garden Organic’s headquarters, Ryton Gardens, near Coventry.

Available to producers with a holding number in the West Midlands (including West Midlands, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire) for just £24 (£28.80 inc.VAT) each course thanks to 80% funding from LandSkills West Midlands. Producers outside of the region can also attend the course for £40 (£48 inc.VAT).
