Poultry Business launched by 7Y Energy
7Y Energy is delighted to have secured leading poultry expert Mike Tyers to develop services for the poultry sector, bringing over 20 years of industry experience with him.
Spearheading development of activity into the sector, Mike will be looking at the opportunities in the poultry industry where a number of challenges in terms of energy and welfare are putting UK producers under pressure.
Having completed a recent Nuffield Scholarship titled ‘How poultry farmers can reduce their eco-footprint” Mike will be concentrating on:
Study tours
Discussion groups
Training courses
Feasibility studies
Energy audits
Technology procurement
Obtaining grant funding
Initially this will be aimed primarily at poultry producers in the West Midlands, where 7Y Energy has already gained a reputation in working with a number of farmers and rural businesses in renewable energy projects.
