Royal Visit to the Hub Offices on the County Showground

In July HRH the Princess Royal paid a visit to the Hub offices at the County Showground. She saw the range of our work, heard about our plans and projects, met some of our volunteers and participants and unveiled a plaque (a dogcart wheel to symbolise the hub and spokes of the Rural Hub network).

Princess Anne was “tremendously impressed with the wide range of the Hub’s activities, and the guidance and help you make available to assist the local farming and rural community. Initiatives such as yours are vital to generating growth and a sustainable way of life.”
