Safe and Sustainable? The Changing Regulatory Landscape for Organics Resources - 18th Feb 2010

All Rural Hubs - Thursday 18 Feb 2010 at 9.00

We are pleased to announce the programme for the SORP 2nd Annual Conference, which will be held on 18th February 2010 at Austin Court in Birmingham. Safe and Sustainable? The Changing Regulatory Landscape for Organics Resources

The recycling of organic resources to land is widely recognised as one of the best practicable environmental options for products that were formerly wastes, provided that a sound regulatory framework is in place to protect the end-users. However devising a suitable framework that offers the requisite balance of protection and encouragement to recycle is not easy. Our present legislation is in a state of flux as many argue that this balance has not yet been achieved. This event is aimed at both those who produce and those who are end-users of organic resources, which were formerly wastes.
