Small Business Start Up Grant
A £500 Small Business Start Up Grant is offered by Wyre Forest District Council where the main requirement is attendance and completion of a Business Link Start Up Business Programme as well as supplying a Business Plan and 2 references. (Unfortunately, the 2010/11 funding has been allocated and they are waiting to hear if additional funding will be allocated).

Empty Shop Grant Scheme
An Empty Shop Grant scheme for up to £4,000 is offered to encourage occupancy of empty retail units within Bewdley and Stourport town centres and certain areas of Kidderminster. The funding covers permanent improvements to a retails outlet.

LANTRA Women and Work Programme
The Women and Work: Sector Pathways Initiative is about raising skills and unlocking potential. The project aims to raise recruitment levels in sectors where women are under-represented; increasing earning potential and aiding career progression. The programme encourages women to undertake training to a minimum value of £650 of which LANTRA will pay £450 towards it with the individual contributing £200.
