Sustainability of the Wood Fuel Supply Chain

Staffordshire Rural Hub - Wednesday 8 Dec 2010 at 9.00

This half day event, led by James Cartwright, will be a practical Woodfuel demonstration event in Staffordshire.

The event starts at the Marquis Drive Visitor Centre, Cannock Chase. Delegates will visit a harvesting site on Cannock Chase where you will see Staffordshire Biomass harvesting timber for wood fuel. Delegates will be given plenty of time to discuss harvesting systems, site considerations, machinery and woodfuel markets in detail.
After this we will go onto the Staffordshire Bio-mass fuel depot at Abbotts Bromley to see their processing depot in action with a chipping demonstration. There will also be a question and answer session to cover a range of issues including fuel specifications, supply chain and delivery considerations and an optional Biomass Boiler Tour.
This one day event will be held at Cannock Chase and Abbotts Bromley on Wednesday 8th December 2010.

Starts 9.00am, finishes 1.30pm.

This is an outdoor event so suitable clothing should be worn.
