The Wellies Project
The WELLIES project will provide 36 one day training workshops for those recovering from mental health issues using animals’ plants and the countryside. The project aims to promote wellness through informal learning opportunities which are fun, inspiring and build the confidence of participants.
It gives opportunity for farms to become involved in educational access and is a good form of diversification if well managed. The project is a partnership between Staffordshire County Council, Adult and Community Learning, Staffordshire and South Shropshire Health Authority, Department for Education and Skills and Growing Rural Enterprise funded through Transformations by The Learning Revolution.
