Wake up to the Heart of the Country Project

A range of practical, professional and pro-active support will be on offer to all farms with tourist accomodation thanks to Farm Stay UK which has secured £200,000 of funding from AWM through to the Rural Development Plan for England for the Wake up to the Heart of the Country Project.
The project will start in the next few weeks and run over three years offering:
- On-farm, one-to-one, advice on how you could help your customers to learn about farming and the countryside and so make your business be more profitable by standing out from the rest
- Targeted IT training
- Visits to examples of best practice
- Local food hamper scheme and links to other rural attractions
- Attracting new markets with marketing campaigns and press familiarisation visits
- Providing much needed research on business performance in this sector.
