West Midlands Farm Health Planning Initiative
The West Midlands has opted to support individual farm health planning and this will include:
The strengthening of the farmer / vet partnership
Mentoring by veterinary surgeons
The production of a Farm Health Plan summary that will suggest: Changes to husbandry and management, the need for knowledge transfer and training and small capital grants for a range of Animal Health and Welfare Investments.
A number of awareness events are being held across the region where staff from the RDPE team, Lantra Landskills and the Rural Enterprise Grants team, will join with a practising vet and the Hub to promote and explain the whole programme in detail.
