Wind Turbine Open Days
Morning Session 11am & Afternoon Session 2.30pm
Monday 24th May 2010
and
Thursday 15th July 2010
BECL, a Shrewsbury based renewable energy specialist and environmental consultancy, are hosting a series of wind turbine open days, featuring their Vertical Axis turbine demonstration model, at a site near Shrewsbury.
Vertical axis wind turbines are a cheap and effective way of producing electricity from renewable energy. They are also well suited to many rural locations such as farms, local business and homes.
The open days comprise of sessions where we receive interested parties and present to them details of obtaining planning permission, installing a turbine and the possibility of receiving grants and other financial incentives, such as Feed In Tariffs. We also let the visitors see and hear the turbine in action so that when they leave they have a better knowledge of wind turbines, their costs and their benefits.
