Women's Farming Union in Herefordshire
THIS EVENT WAS POSTPONED, DATE TO BE RE-ARRANGED
Are you interested in helping to promote farming and food production to the consumer??
The Women's Farming Union have approached Herefordshire Rural Hub with regard to setting up a WFU branch in Herefordshire. The organisation was founded in 1979 with the primary aim of linking the producer with the consumer. Anyone can join the WFU, although most members have a link with agriculture, food or rural affairs. Branches arrange their own programs and usually meet once a month, covering a wide range of activities, and the organisation is well known for it's campaigns.
If you are willing to help make a difference, come along to an inaugural meeting on Tuesday 19th January 2010, 7pm, at The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome.
Light refreshments will be available.
Helen Bower (acting WFU President) will speak at the meeting and explain the aims of the organisation and what can be done in Herefordshire to promote food production and farming to consumers.
